Fingerprints are capped, not deleted. When you hit the cap, new shapes are rejected at ingest; existing stubs continue to work. Downgrading freezes fingerprints at the lower cap.
Billing and pricing FAQ
- How does billing work?
- Solo plans are billed monthly or annually (€90/yr — save ~17%). Team and Business plans are monthly. All plans auto-renew; you can cancel any time from the dashboard.
- How is VAT handled?
- Prices are shown including 21% NL VAT by default. Final VAT depends on your country under the EU OSS scheme. EU business customers can supply a VAT ID at checkout for reverse-charge zero-rating. The toggle on this page uses 21% NL VAT for illustration only.
- What counts as a fingerprint?
- A fingerprint is the structural signature of a unique request/response shape — method, path pattern, and response schema. Fingerprints are capped per plan. When you reach the cap, new shapes are rejected at ingest (existing stubs continue to work). Fingerprints are never deleted; downgrading freezes them at the lower cap.
- What happens when my sample retention window expires?
- Samples (the encrypted payloads) are deleted after the retention window. Fingerprints, request types, and generated stubs are kept indefinitely — they are your durable output.
- Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
- Yes. Upgrades are immediate and prorated. Downgrades take effect at the next billing period; fingerprints above the new cap are frozen (not deleted) and become accessible again if you upgrade back.
- What does the dedicated KMS key on Business give me?
- A dedicated KMS key means your encryption context is isolated from other tenants. On offboarding, deleting your key cryptographically destroys all your encrypted samples — no data remains recoverable, even by Stubsmith staff.
